Being positive to me means: it takes less energy, we are naturally positive (want to be) and do our best. Most of us think we are positive and we are, we want all the good things and we deserve the good things, whatever that may be.
The problem lies within the words we use when we speak about our lives. The statement “I can’t” for example, immobilizes our action so we really can’t, even if we may think we can. Using these words offhandedly in these statements, says to our whole being that we can’t. We also know the quote, “you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it”. Whether it’s I can or can’t when you put your mind to it, both create the action of positive or negative. When you add attitude to either of these statements, it adds to the power of your declaration; I can! I can’t! When we have the attitude of “I can” instead of “I can’t” it creates an opening to follow the “I can” path, now I’m putting my mind to a positive choice for me. The same can be said with “I can’t” it creates the path of I’m not capable so I’m not going to try. Another example is “I’d like to change, but” or “the problem is” or “why me” statement is only looking at the problem and not open to a solution, change the statement of “I can find a solution” and that opens the path to a solution. I'm more mindful of the words I choose when I speak to others and self talk. I believe that it’s easier to choose optimistic words with attitude and follow the positive path.
